A resounding 3-0 victory (25-20, 25-22, and 25-18) against the Czech Republic, Italy reached the final with great determination and merit. Modena Volley’s middle blocker Pardo Mati scored five points, four of them attacking and one blocking. Italy will now face Iran (who defeated the United States 3-0), with the final match scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, August 31st, at 2:00 PM (live on the Volleyball World YouTube channel).
France, meanwhile, defeated China 3-0 with five points (four attacking, one blocking, and one serving) from new yellow-blue setter Amir Tizi-Oualou. They will now play the 5th-6th place final against Poland, who also defeated Cuba 3-0.
