Coming off a very positive summer with the Argentina national team, Pablo Kukartsev, the new opposite hitter for Cucine Lube Civitanova, also had the satisfaction of winning the famous Wagner Memorial in Poland for the first time with the Albiceleste, finishing as MVP of the four-way friendly tournament organized annually by the Hubert Wagner Foundation in memory of the Polish player and coach who passed away prematurely at the age of 61 in 2002.
Led by their striker, the South American team defeated Brazil (3-0), Poland (3-1), and Serbia (3-0) to finish in first place.
