On the eve of the first of two joint training sessions with Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina, scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, October 1st (6:00 p.m.) at the PalaSavelli in Porto San Giorgio, Pablo Kukartsev, new opposite hitter for Cucine Lube Civitanova, reveals his first impressions of his adventure in the red and whites.
His wide, almost incredulous eyes and reassuring smile speak volumes about his state of mind. The athlete was the first of the national team competing in the World Cup to reach Civitanova. In recent days, Pablo made himself available to trainer Max Merazzi for a few solo sessions in the weight room at the Eurosuole Forum and decided to cut his vacation short by declaring himself eligible for Saturday’s test, which ended in a 3-0 victory over Modena in San Severino. Surprisingly, coach Giampaolo Medei immediately handed “Kuka” a few chances, breaking the ice with his first point.
How are you feeling about starting your adventure with Lube?
Kukartsev: “It’s a dream for me to be here, to wear this jersey and train at the Eurosuole Forum. I can say I play for one of the best teams in Italy; it’s a pleasure and an honor to be part of this fantastic club. I’m very happy and excited. The idea of starting the season with Lube gives me a lot of motivation, and I feel we’ll have an incredible season!”
