Volley Altotevere held an official institutional presentation on Monday, September 29th in San Giustino, the club’s current home and home to championship matches. The logistical choice itself was significant: the packed Tobacco Museum is located within a site that has long been a hub of employment, economics, social interaction, and emancipation, yet it also sits opposite the parish field where volleyball was born in the late 1970s. “A team that represents both the town and the surrounding area,” said Mayor Stefano Veschi, “so sporting alliances are important, and San Giustino serves as a link between the Tuscan and Umbrian regions. The administration fully supports this.” The president of the white-and-blue club, Elena Gragnoli, emphasized the concepts of tenacity and strength in her greeting, followed by Agostino Benedetti, president of the Umbrian committee of the Italian Volleyball Federation. “It’s a pleasure to be here,” Benedetti said, “because San Giustino and Altotevere in general have made and continue to make history in Umbrian volleyball, especially in the men’s sector.
