President Massimo Righi, CEO Fabio Fistetto, and several members of the Lega Pallavolo Serie A staff recently traveled to Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, for an initial site inspection ahead of the 2025 Del Monte® Supercoppa.
The first event of the upcoming season, as announced live during the 2025/26 Season and Schedule Presentation at Volley Mercato, will be played in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and will feature some of last year’s leading teams: Itas Trentino, Cucine Lube Civitanova, Rana Verona, and Sir Safety Perugia.
The Lega Pallavolo delegation, hosted by Saudi Crown, is currently undergoing a busy schedule of institutional appointments, meetings with authorities, and site inspections of the arena hosting the event and other key locations.
The journey will conclude tomorrow, Tuesday, July 29, with a local press conference where, following meetings with the Ministry of Sport, Saudi Crown, the Italian Embassy, the Saudi Arabian Volleyball Federation, and other event organizers, the venue and final dates of the event will be officially announced.
