Cucine Lube Civitanova is starting the week in the gym ahead of their joint training session against Banca Macerata Fisiomed at 5:00 PM tomorrow, Tuesday, September 23, at the Eurosuole Forum.

The free-entry test will see Giampaolo Medei and Francesco Oleni’s red and whites share the field with the A2 team coached by Romano Giannini, fresh from four seasons as assistant coach, winning a Scudetto (2022) and an Italian Cup (2025). He also had a successful stint as head coach at the end of the 2023/24 season, culminating in a fifth-place playoff victory that secured a spot in Europe. Supporting Giannini on the bench will be his assistant Dylan Leoni, who has a background in the Lube Volleyball Academy.

The 2025/26 roster of the Macerata team includes several players who grew up in the red and white youth academy, starting with the middle blocker Ionut Ambrose, born in 2004, who also played a season in the SuperLega with Lube (2022/23) before gaining experience in A2. An old acquaintance is his teammate Tommaso Fabi, born in 1996, who took his first steps on the red and white youth academy courts between 2011 and 2014. Other young players who have come out of the Academy are the 2006-born spiker Alessandro Talevi and the 2007-born libero Diego Dolcini.
