After the usual rest day, Emma Villas Codyeco Lupi Siena resumed training ahead of their next league match. The away win against Fano in a tiebreaker (3-2 in favor of the Tuscan team) also unlocked the road game, after the first two difficult outings.

“We knew it was a tough court. They were coming off three losses and wanted to bounce back at home. We started off strong, as we wanted, and we won the first set,” said opposite hitter and team captain Gabriele Nelli (MVP of the match). “Afterwards, we slowed down for a moment and dropped off, but we remained focused on every ball. We told ourselves to take home one set at a time, and that’s what happened, and we’re very happy. We may not have played our best volleyball, but we did what it took to win. Now we’ll keep working; we want to improve while we await the more difficult matches that are yet to come.”
