Two brief but meaningful ceremonies took place last Sunday before ErmGroup Altotevere’s home debut against Conad Reggio Emilia. As part of the expansion of its facilities and a rationalization of space within the San Giustino sports hall, the club now has a fully equipped gym with all the necessary equipment for competitive and non-competitive activities (remember, it is also available to members) and a hospitality room, as befits clubs at the top levels of Italian volleyball. The double ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by San Giustino’s deputy mayor, Sara Marzà, representing the club, and by Volley Altotevere president Elena Gragnoli and CEO Claudio Bigi, along with members of the club’s staff. The blessing was imparted by the town’s parish priest, Don Filippo Milli, who in his brief speech emphasized the importance of the gym as a place where healthy physical activity must be combined with a spirit of sociability and the desire to be together.
