The third day of Pool D of the Men’s Under-21 Volleyball World Championship, currently taking place in China, featured two Modena Volley players: Italy’s Pardo Mati and France’s Amir Tizi-Oualou.

Today was the “family match,” Italy versus France: the final score was 3-1 in favor of the Azzurri after a tight and intense match from start to finish. Mati, the match’s top scorer and the true driving force behind Fanizza’s team, scored 17 points (twelve in attack, four blocking, and one serving), while Tizi-Oualou, captain and playmaker for Belmadi’s team, scored one point (in attack).

Tomorrow is a rest day, and on Monday, the teams return to action at 2:00 PM for Italy vs. Tunisia and France vs. Ukraine.
