Striker at position 4 or position 2? Both are true for Nico Cipriani, who has been confirmed on the ErmGroup Altotevere roster. Thanks to his contract, the 190-centimeter-tall (6’3″) native of Promano, with a powerful hand even when serving, was able to make his debut and play in the Credem Banca Serie A3 championship. Despite just turning 23, Cipriani already boasts an impressive career path: coach Marco Bartolini can certainly confirm this, having coached him in Serie B at Città di Castello and bringing him to San Giustino in the summer of 2021, entrusting him, at just 19 years old, with the starting opposite hitter role on the team that dominated the Serie B group and lost the playoff final against Stadium Mirandola. Since then, aside from the Livorno interlude (he also started in position 4 and finished in position 2), Cipriani has always remained with the white and blue team, where he is about to begin his fourth overall experience. Last season he also appeared on the field several times as a fullback, proving to be decisive – during the team’s difficult period – during the 3-1 home victory over Monge Gerbaudo Savigliano, when he scored 15 points and resisted the pressure put on him by the opponents in reception.
