Sviluppo Sud Catania is pleased to announce the signing of Nicolò Volpe, a new addition to the Catania roster for the 2025/26 Serie A2 season.

“I’m very happy,” said Nicolò Volpe, “to be part of this team because Catania has always been an important hub for Italian volleyball. I can’t wait to get started and meet my new teammates and staff. I’m sure the team we’ve assembled will be very competitive and well-suited to competing in a very balanced league like Serie A2.”

A 202cm middle blocker, Volpe, originally from Ciriè (province of Turin), is considered one of the most exciting prospects in Italian volleyball. He developed his skills in the youth academy of Vero Volley Monza, where he began his career in the youth and Serie B leagues. He made his debut in the Superleague at a very young age in the 2021/22 season with the Brianza-based team.

After his time in the top division, he played for Conad Reggio Emilia in Serie A2 for two seasons, demonstrating solid blocking and good offensive skills. Last season, he represented Saturnia Acicastello, proving himself as a reliable and constantly improving player.
