The Block Devils’ training continues at full speed, having resumed training yesterday at the PalaBarton Energy in preparation for this season’s fixtures, where they will be on the front lines competing in all competitions in both the Italian and international leagues.
The morning was dedicated to medical checks, prevention, and assessments for the players, who returned to training on the taraflex in the afternoon under the guidance of Coach Lorenzetti and Massimiliano Giaccardi.
This year, too, thanks to the breadth and exceptionally high quality of the Juventus youth academy players, the coaching staff can set the bar high right from the start. They train alongside the Block Devils to compensate for the absences of players currently on international duty. These players are already familiar to Angelo Lorenzetti and the players, including spiker Filippo Dionigi, middle blockers Michele Severini and Filippo Fossa, opposite hitter Simone Pellicori, and setter Tommaso Grassi, all confirmed from last season. These guys are part of the Juventus club’s Serie B roster, and alongside them is an old acquaintance from last year, Gabriele Tittarelli, a middle blocker from Serie C. In addition to the established players, there’s also a new addition this year: spiker Lorenzo Maretti, a new acquisition from Serie B.
