The sporting director of ErmGroup Volley Altotevere, Valdemaro Gustinelli (pictured), takes stock of the situation almost two weeks before the start of the team’s preparations for the next Credem Banca Serie A3 championship. “Just the other evening,” Gustinelli began, “we checked with the coaching staff to determine any potential issues in the first few days. The friendly schedule is officially finalized, including the times, and there’s a 99% certainty that it will be enriched by another match (likely a triangular match on October 4th in San Giustino), which we’ll officially present in the coming days. We also briefly reviewed the official schedule, which is also taking shape. There are 20 official matches, and for logistical reasons, we’ll be playing seven of them on Saturdays, which in some ways is an anomaly. For us, the preparation phase will be extremely important: in addition to focusing on the physical aspect, we’ll need to quickly rediscover the balance, confidence, and brilliance of the game that brought us so close to the Serie A2 final. The new players will need to be good at quickly integrating into an already well-established environment.
