Another important confirmation arrives in the roster of Alva Inox 2 Emme Porto Viro for the next Serie A2 Credem Banca championship. The spiker Pedro Henrique Ferreira Silva, known to all as Pedro, has extended his contract by one year and is therefore preparing to experience the third consecutive season in black and fuchsia.
“I now feel at home in Porto Viro – the player commented on the renewal – Here everyone welcomed me very well, both the club and the city, which has truly passionate fans. I can do nothing but thank them for the trust in my work. And yes – he jokingly adds –, we can say that I am now a Brazilian naturalized Portovirese”.
From “talisman” to key man, especially in attack: this is the evolution of the athlete born in 1996, 200 centimeters tall, over the first two years in Porto Viro. In 2023/2024 he had finished with 117 total points, last season the loot more than doubled: 264 balls put on the ground, with 231 winning attacks, 21 aces and 12 block points.
“My first year in Italy – continues Pedro – was above all a learning experience: I had to understand the dynamics of Serie A2, a very competitive championship. In the second year I assimilated the game mechanisms better and the fact of being a starter helped me a lot in this sense. But I still have a lot to improve”.
