Second confirmation at Rinascita Volley Lagonegro in view of the 2025/2026 Credem Banca A2 series championship: it is the middle blocker Andrea Pegoraro, 22 years old next September.
The red and white club wanted to strongly retain the Venetian player after having appreciated his talent and qualities during the last triumphant season: having arrived in Basilicata last summer on tiptoe after two apprenticeship championships in Prata di Pordenone (and with the label of a promising young player), Pegoraro has managed to carve out his space match after match, showing notable athletic skills and thus conquering the starting position in the nerve center of the field.
A key element of coach Waldo Kantor’s tactical project, the 198-centimeter-tall center ended the season with noteworthy numbers, proving his excellent overall performance: 192 total points between the regular season (140) and playoffs, 46 winning blocks (in the top 20 of the category), 9 aces and 56% average offensive efficiency.
“I am very happy to play another season in Lagonegro – Pegoraro’s first words after the contract renewal – finally Rinascita is back in the category that best belongs to it, in A2 we will assert ourselves”.
