Time to say goodbye to four players who are no longer part of the ErmGroup Altotevere team. Taking off the white and blue are the middle blockers Davide Stoppelli (pictured) and Gabriel Galiano and the spikers Daniele Carpita and Matteo Maiocchi. Stoppelli leaves the scene after six seasons of militancy out of the seven overall that constitute the history of the company and that have made him the veteran and the “silent leader” of the group. “They have been six wonderful years for me,” said Stoppelli, “in which I have witnessed the birth and growth of the club and its ambitions, so much so that today it is one of the most important clubs in the category. Thanks to San Giustino and now Altotevere, I was able to make my debut and play in Serie A3: the last three years have been intense and we have continued to improve. Here I have met fantastic people, both among my teammates and among the management and fans; however, I made a specific choice at the time and the profession I carry out makes it increasingly difficult for me to reconcile my daily commitments with those of a championship that can in fact be considered professional. I will continue to play because volleyball is always a life passion, even if obviously in lower categories. It is a shame that I can no longer step on the taraflex of the sports hall, but I will not fail to return as soon as I have the chance. And in any case, I will remain a fan of Volley Altotevere.”
