This morning, during the press conference to present the Italian national teams, the Technical Commissioner of the Senior Men’s National Team Ferdinando De Giorgi announced the list of 30 athletes who can be used for the Volleyball Nations League 2025. Among these are also two players from Sonepar Padova: Luca Porro and Federico Crosato.
Italy will debut in Québec City (11-15 June) where they will find on their way: Bulgaria, Germany, France and Argentina. In the next stage the Azzurri will be busy in Chicago, (United States, 25-30 June) to face Poland, China, Brazil and the United States. In the third week of play, scheduled in Ljubljana (Slovenia, 16-20 July), the men’s national team will take to the field against: Serbia, Ukraine, Slovenia, and the Netherlands. The Final 8 will be played in Ningbo (China) from 30 July to 3 August.
Luca Porro: “I am very happy for this new call-up. It is always a great pride to wear the Azzurra jersey and be part of this group. This summer will be particularly important, because in addition to the Volleyball Nations League there will also be the World Cup, and facing two competitions of this level represents a stimulating challenge. On a personal level I will make myself completely available to the staff and the team, with the aim of improving to the maximum of my possibilities. I really hope that this journey can be long and full of satisfactions”.
