Alva Inox 2 Emme Service Porto Viro played its third game of the season, preparing for the Credem Banca Serie A2 championship. After testing against Fano and Prata, Daniele Moretti’s team visited Consar Ravenna, a preview of the match that will open the Regular Season in two weeks. The match ended 3-1 for the Romagna team, led by a particularly strong serve (14 aces), but Porto Viro put in a reassuring performance physically and technically. Their overall condition appears to have improved compared to previous games, as does their team chemistry. Giulio Pinali stood out, the match’s top scorer with 16 points (52% attack and 1 block). These were his words after the match: “It was a hard-fought match. We found more rhythm than in recent weeks, although we’re still finding our playing style. Tonight, the serve made the difference; ours barely worked, while theirs scored the most important breaks. When we managed to be effective on serve, however, we were there point for point. We still have a lot of work to do, but I liked the team’s attitude. Today’s test will help us understand how to face Ravenna in their league opener. We’ll use these two weeks to prepare and be in the best possible shape for the start of the Regular Season.”
