Manavi is in Italy; the Iranian spiker has already begun individual training sessions that will allow him to arrive in good condition when the Tuscan team meets. Manavi, who played the last two seasons in Catania (first in the Superleague and then in Serie A2), is one of the new signings of Emma Villas Codyeco Lupi Siena. “I believe in this new project,” the volleyball player says. “Two important Italian volleyball clubs like Siena and Santa Croce sull’Arno have brought this team to life; I believe that unity can be strength. I can’t wait to arrive so I can start training with my new teammates.”

Manavi already knows Luigi Randazzo, who was his teammate two years ago in Catania. The Iranian states: “I know Gigi well; we’ve played together before. I know how much he cares about achieving great results, and I’m happy to be his teammate again. As an opponent, I’ve faced Gabriele Nelli several times. He’s another high-quality player, a truly excellent opposite hitter for this category. His presence on the roster also makes me believe that we can have a very good season.”
