Interview with Antonello Chiodo, director of the commercial area: “A city that wants volleyball, now we have to give other dreams”

Domotek Volley Reggio Calabria closed its championship as a newly promoted team just one step away from the final for A2, leaving emotions on the field, record attendance and a sports community more united than ever. Antonello Chiodo, director of the commercial area, protagonist in the construction of a network of over 60 sponsors and a unique synergy model in the area, tells the story of this adventure.

What kind of season was it? “Wonderful! For me it was the first active year in the championship – says Chiodo -. Antonio Polimeni invited me to be part of the project in the commercial area, creating connections between the partners. It was fantastic: as a newly promoted team, coming very close to the final, with over 60 sponsors in tow, is an incredible result. But the real value? Having built a synergy between companies that now collaborate with each other, growing together.»

One of the most exciting moments? The oceanic crowd at PalaCalafiore, with over 4,000 people on a weekday. «I repeat: there were no schools, otherwise the building would have exploded! – Chiodo emphasizes –. This makes us responsible: Reggio Calabria has a crazy desire for volleyball.

Domotek Volley has lit a fire. Now, the task is to keep it alive.
