Rinascita Volley Lagonegro is getting into the thick of preparations for their Serie A2 Credem Banca championship debut on Sunday, October 19th in Prata di Pordenone, organizing their traditional joint preseason workouts. These are valuable opportunities to test out top-tier opponents and allow coach Waldo Kantor to test their strategies and assess the team’s progress and overall fitness.
After the first few weeks of intense physical and technical work, the red and whites will face two important volleyball teams from Campania and Italy: Virtus Aversa and Romeo Sorrento.
The match begins on Friday, September 12th at the Palajacazzi against the Aversa team led by coach Giacomo Tomasello. The blue and white team will be a solid and competitive opponent, capable of guaranteeing a tough technical test: last season, they finished fourth in the Serie A2 regular season, reached the playoff quarterfinals (defeated by Cuneo, who subsequently won promotion to the SuperLega), and reached the Coppa Italia semifinal. Eight days later, on Saturday 20 September, Sorrento, coached by Nicola Esposito, will arrive at the Palasport in Villa d’Agri. The team is the true protagonist of the 2024/25 season (along with Rinascita) with its promotion to the second division and successes in the Coppa Italia and A3 Super Cup.
