Chasing a Dream. That dream called “return” to the A2 series. For Rinascita Volley Lagonegro, the last, challenging stretch of the road that can give the much-desired promotion to the second national category is about to begin.

Easter Sunday on the field: at 6:00 pm the Final series of the Credem Banca A3 Playoffs begins against Negrini CTE Acqui Terme, scheduled at the Palasport in Valenza (Alessandria).

A completely new challenge between the Lucanians and the Piedmontese, both deservedly arrived at this final and now ready to give their all on the field to try to reach the prestigious goal.

Fresh from the double success in the semifinal against CUS Cagliari and with evidently very serene morale, coach Waldo Kantor’s boys have had the entire week available to prepare for Game 1, following a specific training schedule and aware of facing yet another difficult obstacle on this playoff journey.

THE OPPONENT – As mentioned, Rinascita Lagonegro and Negrini CTE Acqui Terme are meeting for the first time ever in their volleyball history. The Piedmontese club, chaired by Raffaella Caria, is led on the bench by Michele Totire, a 49-year-old coach originally from Bari with a long experience behind him between SuperLega teams (as assistant coach) and A2: among these we remember Taranto, Mantova, Corigliano, Santa Croce and San Donà di Piave. The team secured access to the Final after having conducted an excellent regular season in the White Group (concluded in third place with 38 points, 13 wins and only five defeats).
