After welcoming Giacomo Guiotto in 2007 as the first piece for 2025/26, Volley Savigliano is pleased to announce the signing of Roberto Girotto, who will be part of the first Monge-Gerbaudo team next season.
Born in 2005, Roberto is a 195 centimeter tall opposite hitter who, despite his young age, already has a good amount of experience among the big boys. Raised in volleyball at Polisport Chieri, where he started playing volleyball at the age of 13, in 2023/24, the athlete originally from Santena made the “leap”, joining Cuneo Volley, with whom he played the Serie C and Under 19 championships, winning the interregional title against Parella. So, in the last year a new step of growth, with the adventure in Ciriè, in Serie B.
Now, the call from Savigliano, which Girotto immediately welcomed with great enthusiasm: “When I was contacted, I didn’t believe it. I really can’t wait to start this new adventure, my first in a Serie A championship. My goal is to improve technically and tactically, filing down my weak points and enhancing my strong points. What do I hope to bring to the team? My desire to give my all for the team, without ever giving up. I believe I am a player who knows how to listen to advice and corrections from the coach and teammates and who is always available for the cause”.
