A promising young player has arrived at Emma Villas Codyeco Lupi Siena. Leonardo Rocca, an opposite hitter who will turn 20 in a few days (his birthday is July 29th), played for San Donà di Piave in Serie A3 last year.

Rocca will have a dual role: he will be the second opposite hitter on the first team competing in the Serie A2 championship and will also play on the second team competing in the Serie B tournament. This will be his first season in Serie A2.

“I’m thrilled,” says opposite hitter Leonardo Rocca, “with this excellent opportunity, which will undoubtedly be very exciting for my career. I was proud when the Tuscan club contacted me; it’s a truly exciting opportunity on a personal level. Knowing I’ll be part of this club fills my heart with joy. I’ll be able to learn from great players who will be my teammates in Serie A2, and at the same time, I’ll be able to play for the Serie B team. So, it’s a double opportunity for me. My personal goal will be to improve, and that can only be the case given that I’ll be able to train every day with volleyball players of the caliber of Gabriele Nelli and Luigi Randazzo, who played in the Superleague championship for many years and were also members of the Italian national team.
