The official announcements at Aurispa Links per la Vita continue, with the announcement of two more Salento athletes, libero Aidan Russo and spiker Federico Tommasi.
The first is a product of the Aurispa Links per la Vita youth sector and has already made his debut in Serie A3 with the Salento team in the 2022/23 season.
These are his first words: “I decided to return to Alessano for various reasons but above all, returning to wear this jersey means a lot to me, not only on a sporting level but also on a personal level. It is a team and a reality that I know well, that has helped me grow and that I feel like home.”
Regarding his personal growth he specified: “In these years I have accumulated experience, I have faced new challenges, and I have learned to better manage both the pressure and my role on the court. I have not only grown technically, but also mentally. I have a different awareness compared to my debut.”
Finally, a joke about expectations: “I expect an intense season, full of emotions and opportunities. The personal goal is to grow further, but above all to put my qualities at the service of the team. We have no shortage of ambition, and I am convinced that we can do something important.”
The official signing of Federico Tommasi, a spiker born in 2005 (198 cm tall), also arrived shortly after. The athlete comes from Conad Lecce, the team with which he made his debut and where he played the last championship. His debut in Serie A3 dates back to the 2023/24 season with the Casarano jersey.
