From the bench… to the court! After announcing who will be the coach and assistant for the next season, Volley Savigliano is pleased to announce the first member of the roster that will play in the 2025/26 Serie A3 Credem Banca championship. It is Francesco Dutto, who will once again be captain and point of reference for the white-blue group.
Born in 1991, “Ciccio” grew up in the youth teams of the then Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo. A central player, he made his debut among the big boys in Corigliano, in the 2011/12 Serie A2. From there, a decade-long journey, between Cagliari (B1), Fossano (B1, B2 and Serie B), the return to Cuneo in the 2018/19 Serie A2 and, from 2019, Savigliano, with whom he won promotion to Serie A3, and then stabilized in the category. The next one, therefore, will be the seventh year at PalaSanGiorgio, but the first in the dual role of player and Sports Director, a role he has held since last March.
These are his words: “For me this confirmation means a lot. I am happy, indeed, honored to be able to be part of the team group and that the new coach has decided to confirm me. I will try to bring my experience to the field, giving a hand to the younger guys, especially in my role. Being able to continue to “hit hard” on the field is an important thing, because the fire inside is still there, as is the desire to win. The dual role of player and Ds? It will not bring big changes on the field.
