Second day of training for Emma Villas Codyeco Lupi Siena, who continue their preparations at the PalaParenti in Santa Croce sull’Arno. The Tuscan team met yesterday to begin training ahead of the upcoming Serie A2 tournament. Many new faces and some key confirmations are on the roster. Coach Francesco Petrella spoke to the group about the importance of the preparation period and the importance of setting growth goals week after week.
“We’re experiencing the ‘first days of school,’ starting from the starting blocks,” said Alberto Lami, vice president of Emma Villas Codyeco Lupi Siena. “There’s a hint of excitement and, at the same time, a good dose of expectation. Already in the first training sessions, we’re seeing a spirit of sacrifice from this group. This is a new group, with more experienced players and some younger players. The right mix will be needed, an aspect the coaching staff will have to work on. There are excellent opportunities for us to work well. Right now, it’s impossible to talk about objectives and predict how far this team can go, but I’m convinced this group can achieve good things. We’re waiting to see how the team develops in a few weeks to understand what our concrete potential is for next season.”
