The history of Domotek Volley continues to write unforgettable pages. After the extraordinary final victory against Belluno at PalaCalafiore, which earned the city access to Serie A2, in front of seven thousand cheering spectators, today the long-awaited official announcement arrived. The Lega Pallavolo Serie A has completed the admission process, releasing the list of 49 clubs eligible to register for the professional leagues. All clubs have passed the documentary review, and the list has already been sent to the Italian Volleyball Federation for final approval. Domotek, naturally, is among them, ready to experience its first season in the second national division.
The 2026/27 Credem Banca Serie A2 championship promises to be exciting and full of challenges for the Amaranth team. Fourteen teams will be registered, and among them stand out many familiar faces who have crossed Domotek’s path in recent, epic seasons. Belluno Volley will be there, the very team we faced and defeated in the promotion final, an opponent sure to be looking for redemption. Then there’s Conad Reggio Emilia, a familiar face in the playoffs and finals of the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Del Monte, against whom Domotek played five unforgettable matches in the A2 playoffs. There’s the traditional match against our friends from Gioia del Colle, who acquired the title from Sorrento; there’s the Calabrian derby against Palmi, who acquired the rights from Catania and brought A2 back after an unfortunate season two years ago; and there’s also the return of Lagonegro, a team we enjoyed meeting and getting to know two seasons ago.
With 14 teams in the starting lineup, A2 promises to be a tough battle. In addition to the aforementioned Belluno Volley, Conad Reggio Emilia, Joy Volley Gioia del Colle, Sviluppo Sud Palmi, and Rinascita Lagonegro, the group will host historic and ambitious teams such as Consoli Sferc Brescia, Essence Hotels Fano, Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina, Associati Fisiomed Macerata, Virtus Volley Napoli, Abba Pineto, Alva Inox Porto Viro, and Consar Ravenna.
