Yesterday was a truly intense and emotional day for Simone Anzani. In the morning, he was received and awarded by Modena Mayor Massimo Mezzetti, along with Luca Porro, for his World Cup victory. In the evening, he was a guest of Juventus for the Champions League match against Sporting Lisbon.
The Modena Volley middle blocker, invited by the Bianconeri to the Allianz Stadium, was welcomed by J-Museum President Paolo Garimberti, to whom he presented two memorabilia: his Italy national team jersey and one of the shoes he wore during the final against Bulgaria, played on September 28th. Anzani subsequently met with players and officials, including Giorgio Chiellini, Juventus’ Director of Football Strategy, who presented him with a jersey bearing his name and number 17.
