The presentation of the roster for the 2025/26 season can only start with one of the two most anticipated reconfirmations. We are talking about a talented, charismatic and one-of-a-kind player – and not only for the different shirt he wears on the court: once again Simone Gabbanelli will lead the red and white second line!
Originally from Loreto, born in 1991, Simone made his Serie A debut in the 2011/2012 season with Energy Resources Carilo Loreto, thus taking his first steps in high-level volleyball. After his experience in Sant’Antioco in B, his career took him back to the Marche, first to Grottazzolina and then to Macerata, where over the years he was able to show off all his technical and human qualities.
For him, the upcoming season will be his ninth with the Pallavolo Macerata jersey, a solid and meaningful partnership, which began in Serie B and has grown, year after year, to where it is today. His jersey will continue to be number 17.

This year there will be Romano, who I have known for a long time even if we have never had the opportunity to work together: we have already spoken on the phone and there is great enthusiasm on both sides to begin this new journey.
