The new season has officially begun for Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza, which gathered this afternoon at the PalabancaSport for its first training session ahead of the 2025-2026 season, which marks the team’s return to Europe with the CEV Volleyball Cup.
President Elisabetta Curti, CEO Isabella Cocciolo, and General Manager Hristo Zlatanov welcomed the players and staff.
Dante Boninfante: “The priority in this first phase of preparation is to work on each player’s physical condition, without neglecting their technique. We’ll focus on significant workloads right from the start; ballwork and technique will be introduced in the coming days. The goal is to get this group into top physical condition so we can have a cohesive group when the internationals arrive, who have been working hard all summer. This week, we’ll have just one training session per day to get the players acclimated to the return to work, then starting next week, there will be two training sessions on some days. I’m particularly pleased and excited to start a new season in Piacenza, a city I know well.”
