The red and white gem, Matteo Talevi, is flying to the U16 European Championships in Armenia wearing the Italian jersey. As expected, the best U15 setter in Italy was chosen by Vincenzo Fanizza, Technical Director of the men’s youth national teams, among the 14 Italian players who will take part in the tournament, starting with their first serve on July 23 in Yerevan. Always called up for the national team training camps in Camigliatello Silano (CS), the talented Civitanova-born setter of the Academy Volley Lube is now thrilled on the eve of such an important experience.
A great satisfaction also for the Lube Volley coaches who launched the fiery setter, including coaches Matteo Zamponi and Federico Belardinelli.
The Italian group, placed in Pool II, will make its debut on Wednesday 23 July at 6pm against Hungary, before facing Ukraine (24 July, 3.30pm), France (25 July, 3.30pm), Czech Republic (27 July, 10.30am), Serbia (28 July, 3.30pm), Turkey (30 July, 3.30pm), and then closing the group stage on Thursday 31 July at 1pm against Bulgaria.
