ErmGroup Altotevere will have their second preseason test on Saturday, September 27th, with a joint training session with Banca Macerata Fisiomed. This team, coached by Romano Giannini, is in its second season in the Credem Banca Serie A2 championship, boasting a promising roster (including the Bulgarian duo Zhelev and Karyagin, although Zhelev will be absent due to his international commitments at the World Championships). The roster also includes a familiar face from Serie A3: middle blocker Bara Fall. The match is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at the Banca Macerata Forum, a true “temple” of Italian volleyball and the site of Lube’s first major successes. “It’s obvious that when you’re playing against a higher-division opponent, the information you gain takes on a different weight,” commented the white-and-blues’ assistant coach, Mirko Monaldi, on the eve of the trip to the Marche region. “Especially since we’re playing against a truly solid team. As for us, we’ve already started to reduce our workload, so we’re more relaxed and with a practically complete squad. Therefore, everything we can do against them will be crucial, especially since the start of the championship is now just three weeks away.”
