For Emma Villas Codyeco Lupi Siena, today was the first day of training of the new season. The team met at the PalaParenti in Santa Croce sull’Arno this morning, then went to work in the pool and followed by their first weights session. Then, at 3:00 PM at the PalaParenti, the management gave a group address, followed by the first words from head coach Francesco Petrella: preparation and objectives were two of the key words in the coach’s address to the team, which outlined the path the team will follow in the coming weeks. The team then completed their first on-field technical training session of the season.
Attending this afternoon’s training session as members of the coaching staff were assistant coach Matteo Morando, Luca Bocini, Riccardo Tumbiolo, and Giacomo Finisini. The physical-athletic portion of the training session was led by trainer Dario Paletti. Physiotherapist Enrico Sergi was also present.
The first few days of preparation are dedicated to physical, athletic, and volleyball reactivation after spending the summer. The players have maintained their individual fitness during the post-season and post-season weeks, but starting today they can finally get back on the court.
