Three consecutive clear victories after two defeats: ErmGroup Altotevere’s turnaround in the White Group of the Credem Banca Serie A3 has its own precise explanations, entrusted to assistant coach Davide Marra, who also serves as athletic trainer. “In these last few matches, we’ve been very good at managing the crucial moments,” says the former white-and-blue captain, now on the coaching staff, “and we realized that in this championship, all teams normally reach 20 points, so the difference lies from that point until the end of the set. The real secret, then, is the ability to do simple things, reducing the number of errors. And this is where our skill lies: in Mirandola, we had moments of difficulty, but we were patient and respected the instructions. This attitude, in the long run, paid off.” Indeed, the results of the first two sets underscored the concepts expressed above: a sprint finish with ErmGroup consistently in front. “Except for one start where we made life difficult for ourselves,” Marra explains, “we were aware of what we had to do and confident we could get back into the game.
