Two days after celebrating the conquest of the Del Monte® Coppa Italia A2, the second consecutive, Gruppo Consoli Sferc Brescia is now preparing for the Del Monte® Supercoppa Serie A2, which will see it play on Saturday at home against MA Acqua S.Bernardo Cuneo, the team that won the Play Offs, who in the Final got the better of the tucani.
But not before enjoying the success obtained in Prata di Pordenone, with the victory – the second after the one obtained last year in Cuneo – arrived at the tie-break against the hosts of Tinet. Roberto Zambonardi (coach Gruppo Consoli Sferc Brescia): “A great satisfaction, it is the second Del Monte® Coppa Italia A2 that we have won. The biggest goal was to win the SuperLega, but today we redeemed ourselves. On paper it was an excellent season: personally I will take many positive memories, I had the honor of training great champions. Today we also made the difference in serving, limiting errors and managing the service intelligently. The disappointment after the Play Offs was great, but the boys were good at understanding the importance of a trophy like the Coppa Italia. We now hope to repeat the success of a year ago in the Supercup”.
Roberto Cominetti (Gruppo Consoli Sferc Brescia): “It’s wonderful to relive these emotions: we play especially for these matches, against a strong team on a complicated field and with this crowd it was even crazier. We are super satisfied with ourselves because we got up after the disappointment and faced the Italian Cup playing good volleyball. We will play another Final in Cuneo, again, and we will try to bring home the Super Cup too. Thanks to the fans, always close with so much heart and passion. We dedicate the Cup to them”.
