The Volley Tricolore summer camp is almost over, having spent Friday, August 22nd, a day dedicated to sport, culture, and the local area. The team began the day with their usual weights session at Onda della Pietra, in Castelnovo ne’ Monti, home of their athletic training.

Afterwards, the players and staff were welcomed by Giuliano Razzoli, Olympic skiing champion, and his sister Giordana at their family vinegar factory. Here, after a detailed explanation of the production process of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Reggio Emilia DOP, they were offered a tasting of the three levels of aging: Aragosta, Argento, and Oro. The tour then moved to the old barn, now home to the vinegar factory, where the Razzoli family passionately continues this local excellence.

The experience culminated in a rich tasting that paired the various balsamic vinegars with ricotta, Parmigiano Reggiano of various ages, cured meats, bruschetta with local smoked trout, cherry tomatoes and, finally, artisanal ice cream prepared by Mrs. Tiziana, Giuliano’s mother.
