After two days of well-deserved rest, Waldo Kantor’s group will return to work tomorrow, with two training sessions divided between the weight room and technical-tactical work with the ball in the gym. The Argentine coach’s staff is taking advantage of the 48-hour break to draw up the usual weekly work schedule, to arrive at Sunday in the best possible psycho-physical conditions. It is precisely the mental strength of the team that coach Kantor likes a lot, revealed in all its power in the series of the Quarter Finals with the Sicilians: “Last Wednesday’s game, in particular, was very important – the red and white coach puffs out his chest – not only for having reached the prestigious goal of the semifinal, but also because the boys have shown once again that they have a great ability to react, to completely change face compared to the previous game and to be ready to play one of the most beautiful games of the season. After the defeat in Modica – continues Kantor – we could have suffered the psychological backlash, we were two points from the victory and the consequent closure of the series, instead we were forced to play Game 3. Despite this, the boys managed to pull out a performance of notable strength and personality, deserving the passage of the round”.
