Credem Banca is now accustomed to playing in the Serie A3 playoffs. He missed them due to a long injury in the spring of 2024, his first season with ErmGroup Altotevere, but just the previous year—with Leo Shoes Casarano—he had played in the promotion final to Serie A2 against Saturnia Acicastello. Opposite hitter Simone Marzolla, who turned 26 last November, is eager to find consistency in this crucial phase of the season. And if he performs as well as he did in the fourth and fifth sets of the last match, the one played in San Donà di Piave, he could make the difference in favor of the white and blue colors. “Except for the two early defeats, the championship was off to a very good start, with the now famous eight consecutive wins,” recalls the Venetian athlete. “And I can say that, despite having experienced a difficult period in the second half of the season, the overall result remains highly positive from every perspective. The results and third place confirm this: I think we’re all happy, including the club and staff.” He enjoys the playoffs; in fact, they fascinate him: “They’re the best part of the season. It’s a different kind of emotion,” Marzolla emphasizes, “because every match risks being the last, and then all the teams are forced to always give 100%. We therefore want to start in the best possible condition: the general mood is now lifted, and we still have to wait more than a week to get back on the pitch. We don’t know who we’ll be playing against yet, but I think it will still be a great first round.”
