As Game 1 of the Credem Banca Scudetto Finals approaches, from today onward, we will feature a daily in-depth analysis of the two teams that, starting on the evening of Thursday, April 30, will battle it out for the 81st edition of the SuperLega Championship: Sir Susa Scai Perugia and Cucine Lube Civitanova, the only two teams to have reached the final stages of the playoffs.
This first in-depth analysis will focus primarily on the previous meetings—both seasonal and otherwise—between the two teams: in the 2025/26 season, there have been only three meetings between the two teams, with three Umbrian victories. In the double-header during the Regular Season, the Block Devils prevailed in a tie-break in front of their home crowd and in four sets at the Eurosuole Forum; Perugia and Civitanova qualified for this year’s Del Monte® Coppa Italia Final Four thanks to a 3-1 victory in the quarterfinals, with the Cuneo team unable to defend their title from the previous year.
In total, there have been 75 matches between the two teams, with at least three more to come: Perugia leads with 39 wins to 36, but the numbers suggest a substantial draw.

More precisely, the teams have met in seven editions: 2013/14, 2015/16, 2017/18, 2018/19, 2020/21, 2021/22, and 2024/25. Sir-Lube has twice been a semi-finalist (2015/16 and last season), while on all other occasions it has been the final.
