A spectacular and emotionally charged season has concluded for the 2025/26 Credem Banca SuperLega, culminating with Sir Susa Scai Perugia’s triumph in the final, securing the Scudetto after a clean sheet. This season once again confirmed the league’s exceptional technical, competitive, and media-focused standards, but above all, it demonstrated the steady growth in attendance in Italian arenas.
Following the record attendance figures set last season, the Credem Banca SuperLega continued to improve in 2025/26. The Regular Season saw a further increase in overall attendance: after approximately 393,000 in 2024/25, last season’s attendance exceeded 395,000, confirming an average attendance very close to 3,000 spectators per game. Growth continued in the Scudetto Playoffs, further strengthening the relationship between volleyball fans and the season’s hottest and most intense events: the average attendance per game rose from 3,882 in the 2024/25 season to 3,946 in 2025/26.
The numbers were encouraging and growing for all SuperLega Credem Banca clubs, but some teams naturally played an even more significant role in the results and overall figures. In the Regular Season, Verona stood out for total attendance (48,416), closely followed by Perugia (46,431). Trento, Modena, and Cuneo also recorded strong attendances and significant numbers. In the Playoffs, however, it was the Umbrians who dominated, averaging 4,590 spectators across their six home games. Verona also posted a very similar average (4,550) in their four home games between the Quarterfinals and Semifinals. Civitanova (4 home games) and Modena (3) follow, both with an average attendance of approximately 4,000.
These figures are complemented by the excellent response recorded during the Del Monte® Coppa Italia and Del Monte® Supercoppa events. In addition to the extraordinary two-day Del Monte® Coppa Italia tournament at the Unipol Arena in Bologna, which drew over 18,000 fans with both matches sold out (both sold out with 9,100 spectators), there was also a strong turnout at the PalaTrieste for the Del Monte® Supercoppa: 5,400 fans attended the Semifinals and a sold-out Final, played in front of over 6,100 spectators.
These numbers confirm the popularity of the Credem Banca SuperLega, which is increasingly capable of attracting fans, generating enthusiasm, and consolidating its presence in the Italian and international sports scene.
