After wrapping up last season, the Terni Volley Academy has already begun planning for the next championship. While awaiting the League’s official confirmation of the repechage, General Manager Francesco Biribanti has begun laying the foundations for the roster that will represent the red-and-green team, including both new signings and confirmations.

Meanwhile, the youth sector’s promotional campaign has begun with an open day scheduled for May 16th, 4:00–8:00 PM, at the Leonino Institute gym in Terni.

The team will restart under the guidance of new head coach Giancarlo D’Amico (Italian Champion and winner of the 2017 Italian Cup as a sophomore at Lube, with extensive experience in Serie A3), who will be responsible for managing the group. Pierpaolo Partenio (who has extensive Serie A1 experience and comes from Sarlux Sarroch) and Marco Stambuco (formerly with Monini Spoleto) will be the new setters. The young Umberto Caporossi has been confirmed as a wing spiker, along with new signing Alessandro Finauri (who spent the last three seasons with Cisterna Volley in Serie A1). Antonio Picardo is a welcome addition, and he will be joined at middle blocker by Michele Severini (from Sir Safety Perugia B) and Massimiliano Matani (from Sarlux Sarroch). Following Vittorio Broccatelli’s departure, Simone Oberto (from MA Acqua S. Bernardo Cuneo, which plays in Serie A1) and Leonardo Canenti (from Cascia) have been selected as liberos.

This is just the beginning of the season’s planning, and the entire staff is committed to building a competitive team.
