The championship will be decided on Sunday in the 7:00 p.m. game at the Palacalafiore against Belluno. The Amaranth spiker analyzes the Game 2 defeat and appeals to the fans: “The more we have, the better.”

With just a few hours to go until the decisive Game 3 match, which will decide the title and subsequent promotion to Serie A2, it’s time to put regrets aside and look ahead. The team’s offensive star, spiker Enrico Lazzaretto, speaks with the determination of someone who won’t give up.

How are you feeling just a few days before the final act?
“So, how are we? We’re definitely a little disappointed about what happened on Sunday,” Lazzaretto admits. “We’re a little tired because it’s the end, but now we have to gather our last bit of energy to play the last game in front of our fans and do it as best we can.”

What kind of game was Game 2? What went wrong?
“It was a special match. In the first set, I think we played very well, without too many errors. They were a bit below par. In the second set, or rather, the first part of the second set, we had a good set, but then ended up with a few too many errors. And that cost us the set at 29-27.”

An episode that changed the momentum of the match. “Then we let up a bit,” Lazzaretto admits bluntly, “also thanks to our opponents, who played a truly excellent match. They studied us very well. Berger came on the court in good form and changed the course of the match. Anyway, we’re also to blame, but a lot of credit goes to them.”

Sunday, what kind of crowd do you expect?
The volleyball player’s appeal is direct, without frills. “A crowd for big occasions, for sure. Since it’s the last match, there won’t be any more. Let’s hope the arena is as full as possible. I invite everyone to come and watch us play: it’s a way to have fun, to spend time together in a great atmosphere. But it’s important that many of you cheer for us, because,” Lazzaretto concludes, his voice growing hoarse, “as I always say, you are the seventh man on the pitch. And the more, the merrier.”
