Despite the Serie A3 championship being suspended for a week to make way for the final round of the Coppa Italia, Avimec Modica will return to work this afternoon at the PalaRizza to prepare for the final push of the season.
Coach Enzo Distefano’s team, the white and blues, are coming off a string of consecutive victories, confirming the quality of the team built over the summer by the Modica management. Thanks to the passion and foresight of general manager Luca Leocata and the team behind the scenes, they aim to improve season after season.
The PalaTerni team’s comeback tie-break victory is the product of a display of character and teamwork, which, in addition to the two points and fifth place in the standings, also includes Pedro Putini’s 100 blocks and Stefano Chillemi and Pietro Mariano’s 200 knockdowns this season. While for the Brazilian setter and the white-and-blue captain, these results are the fruit of technical skill and experience accumulated over the years, for Pietro Mariano, having surpassed the 200-point threshold is also the fruit of great work in the gym and confirms that the decisions of the management led by Vanni Iacono were made carefully and in harmony with the coaching staff.
