Allianz Milano has made a valuable signing for the upcoming SuperLega season, completing its middle blocker roster with the arrival of Filippo Bartolucci. The player from the Marche region, who turns 23 on July 23, makes his first appearance in the top division after establishing himself as the best middle blocker in Serie A2. Born in Fano, Bartolucci came from Consar Ravenna, but also played in the second division with Cosedil Acicastello, also in Ravenna, and with Grottazzolina. He also played in the A2 Italian Cup final with Consar. Last season, he continued his steady growth, becoming the best middle blocker in the division. In 31 matches, he scored 319 points, with 207 winners, 84 blocks, and 28 aces, setting personal bests in all key statistics. He scored at least two memorable performances, with 17 points against Porto Viro and Fano. With his arrival, coach Guillermo Falasca will be able to count on a top-notch central defense featuring standout Robertlandy Simon and multiple Italian national team winner Gabriele Di Martino, as well as the young Alessandro Benacchio.
