Marco Bonitta, born in Ravenna in 1963, is ready to begin his Essence Hotels adventure and launch a sprint with seven games remaining in the championship: “I have so much adrenaline and energy,” begins the new Virtus coach. “Are there any difficulties? They’re welcome, but let’s not dwell on them too much; let’s focus on a few things day by day. The project is important here in Fano, and I came with great conviction.”

The Romagna coach held his first training session on Friday evening and, with his wealth of experience, already has clear ideas: “Right now,” Bonitta continues, “I’ll have to work on the boys’ mentality and then on their technique. I expect them to show cohesion, unity of purpose, and great teamwork. Communication, both verbal and non-verbal, will be crucial for me; it will reveal signals that we need to work on.” The highly decorated coach, a great motivator, points the way: “I like to talk about resilience,” Bonitta concludes, “whoever emerges from difficulties first and best will be able to succeed.”
