A weekend without a championship for Sviluppo Sud Catania. Serie A2 is taking a break to make way for the Coppa Italia final between Tinet Prata di Pordenone and Abba Pineto, giving the red-and-blues a chance to recharge their batteries ahead of the final push.

The journey will resume on Sunday, March 1st at PalaCatania, when Lagonegro Volley arrives for a significant match. It’s a game that could shape the season, in a league where the standings are incredibly tight and every point shifts the balance.

The break thus becomes an opportunity to take stock, together with coach Paolo Montagnani.

“The standings are very tight, with seven teams within two points of each other. The difference between ambition and focus is minimal,” explains the coach.

“We must prepare to face the matches we can win at our best. Now we have two very important home games, and then there will be tough, direct clashes. We must focus on our game and return to playing even better volleyball than in recent outings.”
