Another young talent will enrich the middle blockers of Pallavolo La Bollente.

Catania-born middle blocker Nilo Cometti, after making his Serie A3 debut in Campobasso, will move to Acqui Terme to continue his career. Having developed in the youth teams of Pallavolo Roomy Catania, he then moved on to the elite youth team of Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza, before establishing himself at the youth level and in Serie C with Marino Pallavolo. Last season, the Sicilian middle blocker made the leap to national volleyball, wearing the colors of EnergyTime Campobasso in the Serie A3 championship.

Retracing the key stages of his career, the new middle blocker from Acqui Terme tells his story: “I started at thirteen here in Catania, at Roomy Pallavolo, playing in the Under-15 championship, where we won the regional stage and advanced to the national stage. The following year I went to Piacenza, also playing in the Under-15 championship, where we won the regional stage and finished second at the national stage. The following two years I went to Marino, where I played in the Under-17 and Serie C championships. Finally, last year I received a call from Campobasso, an important adventure that allowed me to step onto the Serie A3 courts for the first time.”
