A record for Lorenzo “Coda” Codarin, who, after six consecutive seasons with Cuneo, has renewed his contract with the white-and-blues until 2029.

Attachment to the jersey, to the values, the burdens, and the honors it represents and brings to one of Italy’s most historic cities, because in Cuneo, volleyball is tradition, its culture passed down from generation to generation. Wearing the white-and-blue jersey is a great responsibility, and Coda has borne it all, astonishing us with his growth year after year on the court, but also with his attachment to the crowd and fans, starting with the youngest, whom the middle blocker of Friulian origins stops to greet at every match for photos and autographs.

During the press conference, Sports Director Paolo Brugiafreddo announced Codarin’s confirmation: “Together with, and perhaps I should say even more so with, Cavaccini, it represents a tremendous sign of continuity. A young man who, as he gets older, amazes us with how much room for growth he still shows; he is an example of a work ethic, an example of how there are no limits to the quality of performance. All these reasons have led us to renew our relationship with Lorenzo and extend it to a three-year contract, because we believe he can certainly be recognized in the long term as one of the symbols of Cuneo Volley. I am convinced that he will amaze us again and that he will be able to perform even better than this year, and I am sure that, along with Mimmo, he will be the “simultaneous translator” of what it means to play volleyball in Cuneo.”

With great emotion and gratitude, Codarin worked to earn this renewal with the white-blue jersey, which he so desired: “I am truly delighted with this renewal and proud to be able to continue this journey with Cuneo Volley. From the first training sessions of the season just ended, I stepped onto the court with the great goal of being able to continue playing volleyball in the Superleague, but above all, to be able to do it here in Cuneo. I was thrilled when I found out that both goals had been achieved, and even with a three-year contract. I now feel at home here; the white-and-blue jersey is like a second skin to me, and it would be truly difficult to say goodbye. Of course, I will continue to fight, every day, for these colors and I will try to make my future teammates understand the importance and, above all, the fortune of being able to play for this city, in this arena, and in front of these fans.
