Everything is ready for the 27th edition of the Del Monte® Boy League, “Trofeo Enrico Bazan,” an event organized by the Lega Pallavolo Serie A in collaboration with Virtus Fano. Eight of the best Under-14 teams in Serie A, including the young Allianz team, reigning vice-champions, will meet in Fano (PU) for the Final Eight of the event.
The competition will take place between the Palazzetto dello Sport Allende in Fano (Pitch 1) and the Palasport Cercolani in Lucrezia di Cartoceto (Pitch 2), from April 9 to 11, 2026.
The Under 14 teams of MA Acqua S.Bernardo Cuneo, Itas Trentino, Consar Ravenna, and Allianz Milano will compete in Group G, while those of Cucine Lube Civitanova (reigning champion), Vero Volley Monza, Sir Susa Scai Perugia, and Romeo Sorrento will compete in Group H.
The Group Stage will begin on Thursday afternoon and Friday, while the Semifinals and Finals will begin on Saturday.
Coach Cavaglieri’s comments on participating in the Final Eight: “We are very pleased with our results. This year, we once again managed to qualify for the U14 Boy League finals, a championship organized by the League for Serie A teams. This is certainly a source of pride for us, as it highlights the work we do with our younger players. The qualifying rounds have been a journey of constant growth, both in terms of our playing style and team spirit. Only today, at the end of all the training camps, can we finally celebrate the opportunity to play in the final rounds, which will be held in April. We managed to qualify as one of the two best runners-up. Our record includes four wins, three clear 3-0 wins against Cagliari, one 2-1 victory against Vero Volley, and two losses: one 3-0 in the first training camp and one 2-1 in the second. For the boys, participating in the U14 Boy League national finals is undoubtedly a privilege; these are important experiences that contribute significantly to their growth, both athletically and personally. It will be fun and, no matter what happens, it will be a success.”
